DETAILS in a Nutshell
This Saturday 2nd April
8am sharp start till 12pm – finishing off with a free lunch
Gilberthorpe School

*2nd Access of carpark = Off Buchanans Road
This Saturday we are off to Gilberthorpe Primary School to share the love by repairing and painting their fence and painting their school hall. We have received a massive interest in this community serving event (From Local sponsors, Newspaper, Local MP’s and a mass of families ) from the South West region willing to put a hand up for Gilberthorpe School. It’s going to be an amazing morning serving our Local !
WHO TO BRING?
Bring your kids, family, friends, youth group small groups, partner or workmates. Anyone that can lend a hand is invited!
OUTSIDE CRECHE ON SITE:
We will organise a roped off outside creche with some helpers to supervise them.

WHAT JOBS ARE INVOLVED?
1) PAINTING FENCES: We are painting 2 coats of 250m of fencing…. AND approx 140m has not had a first coat
2) REPAIRING A 18M FENCE: We are replacing rails, palings and pulling off the tin fence in one spot of the fence. ** We already have 7 builders happy to do this job **
3) PAINTING THE HALL: We are priming and painting the exterior walls of the hall with 2 coats. The windows will be done another time. *** We will be needing 25 helpers on this job **
WHAT JOB WILL I BE ON?
To make this simple….unless you are notified by one of the organisers, then assume you are painting the fence = this only requires a wide brush and 1 container per brush i.e. an ice cream container (to put some fence stain in).
Other jobs will require other tools – these people will be shoulder tapped or people asked on the day. If you have experience on fence building or exterior wall painting – contact Mitch
FOOD AND DRINK
Don’t worry about food, we’ll have a BBQ Lunch and drinks to keep you full and content! This will be served at 12pm.

I don’t have a paint brush or roller, so what do I do?
We will have 20 extra fence brushes, and 20 roller kits for use on the day, so no dramas….if you have it, bring it otherwise just show up at 8am.
How would I know if it’s rained off?
We will notify you through text, email or Facebook post on the event.
What happens if we don’t finish?
I am optimistic, some call me crazy – but we will get the job done….prayers please
